Industri Udvikling buys 40% stake in Maki
Danish private equity firm Industri Udvikling has acquired a 40% stake in Maki, a distributor of toys, games and baby products in the Nordic region.
With the fresh capital, Maki intends to strengthen its market position in the Nordic countries with the addition of new brands as well as trademarked products.
Former CEO Niels Dahl-Nielsen took over leadership of Maki in 2003. He will continue as co-owner, board member and as executive adviser to the new CEO.
Industri Udvikling invests primarily in Danish manufacturing companies with sales between DKK 300-400m.

Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Silkeborg, Denmark, Maki develops and sells toys through B2B channels in the Nordic countries. It employs 28 staff in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.
