Sentica acquires VMP Group
Finland-based private equity investor Sentica has acquired a majority stake in HR and recruitment business VMP Group.
The founding family and the current management will retain a minority stake in the company as part of the deal.
With the fresh capital, VMP intends to expand its provision of services to developing companies and franchising businesses.
The GP deployed capital from its Sentica Buyout V fund, which held a final close on €185m in April 2017. The vehicle follows the strategy of its predecessors, investing in companies with revenues of €10-100m across all sectors.
The fifth fund is 42% larger than its previous iteration, Sentica Buyout IV, which closed on €130m in October 2013 after a year and a half on the road.
In August, Sentica bought Finnish construction firm Konevuori, which operates as a subsidiary of infrastructure group Terrawise.
