Sentica acquires Purkupiha and Dammega
Finland-based Sentica Partners has bought majority stakes in Helsinki-headquartered demolition businesses Purkupiha and Dammega.
With the fresh capital, the companies plan on growing both organically and through acquisitions.
Purkupiha CEO Kari Karkkainen will become CEO of the new group. Previous owners of both companies will retain a minority stake and continue as operational leaders in the new group.
Company
Helsinki-headquartered Purkupiha was founded in 2003 and specialises in the demolition of entire buildings and factories. In addition to heavy demolition, the company's core business includes recycling and re-use of building materials. It posted a turnover of €13.5m in 2017.
Dammega is also headquartered in Helsinki and was established in 2008. It specialises in the removal of asbestos and other hazardous substances. In addition, the company conducts renovation demolition work.
Together, the combined companies are expected to see sales of €20m per year, according to Sentica.
