Creades exits Iabö Global to J2L for SEK 36m
Venture capital firm Creades has sold Swedish automotive battery manufacturer IabУЖ Global Holding to family investment business J2L for SEK 36m.
The deal follows a six-year holding period under Creades, which acquired the firm in 2012 from investment company Öresund.
Iabö intends to continue developing the company along the strategy implemented by Creades and the firm's current chief executive, as well as making new investments.
Previous funding
Creades first invested in Iabö in 2012, when it purchased a stake in the business from investment firm Investment Öresund. Öresund had purchased Iabö in 2010.
Company
Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Länna, south of Stockholm, Iabö is a Nordic supplier of starter batteries, motorcycle batteries, traction batteries and stationary batteries. Its customer base includes manufacturing industries, telecoms operators, automotive service centres and workshops.
The company ships batteries to Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Poland, the Netherlands and Italy.
Iabö posted a turnover of SEK 57.9m in 2016, with a profit of SEK 4.4m. It employs a staff of 30.
