Altor buys majority stake in LRF Konsult
Swedish private equity firm Altor Equity Partners has acquired a majority stake in Swedish financial adviser and accounting firm LRF Konsult.
Altor acquired the business via its Altor Fund IV from Lantbrukarnas Riksförbund (LRF), the federation of Swedish farmers, which agreed to sell a 75% stake in the accounting and consulting firm.
Altor Fund IV held a final close on €2bn in July 2014. It was 55% deployed as of October 2017, according to Unquote Data.
LRF will continue to be a long-term owner in LRF Konsult, in partnership with Altor.
With the private equity investor on board, the accountancy and advisory business intends to develop new digital services, in addition to more efficient and knowledgeable advisory services and a broader value proposition for clients.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approval.
