EQT Ventures invests €23.4m in BIMObject
EQT Ventures has invested тЌ23.4m in MalmУЖ-headquartered BIMObject, a technology company providing software tools and web services for building information modelling (BIM) creation and development.
BIMObject is listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm First North and the issue comprises 7,757,588 new shares, corresponding to 15% of the share capital prior to the issue. The subscription price is SEK 31 per share, leading to an investment of €23.4m in the company. On completion of the new share issue, EQT Ventures will own 13% of BIMObject.
In conjunction with the new share issue, a secondary transaction will lead to changes in the shareholding of the company. Members of BIMObject's management group are reshuffling their proportion of shares: Mojo Capital One and Matthias Ummenhofer will purchase a total of 1.6 million shares – 1,000,000 of which are being sold by Stefan Larsson, 300,000 by Sven Holmgren and a further 300,000 by Johannes Reischböck.
Meanwhile, EQT Ventures partner Hjalmar Winbladh will join the company's board.
The fresh capital will be used to accelerate the growth of users and customers on BIMObject's digital platforms in existing markets, drive innovation and support growth into new markets.

Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Malmö, BIMObject provides a cloud-based platform and technology to make digital product information available for BIM systems. The company operates in 20 countries and employs a staff of 200. It posted a revenue of SEK 84m in 2017.
