Verdane acquires Zisson and Penetrace
Nordic buyout house Verdane Capital has acquired two Norwegian IT companies, Zisson and Penetrace, from early-stage technology investor Skagerak Maturo.
Verdane acquired Skagerak's 58% and 42% stakes in Zisson and Penetrace, respectively, at a combined valuation of the two companies of around NOK 150m. In addition, the GP acquired further shares resulting in around 70% ownership in both Zisson and Penetrace.
The investment was made from Verdane's latest vehicle, the Verdane Capital IX fund.
With the fresh capital, Zisson and Penetrace intend to expand internationally in the Nordic region and beyond.
Company
Oslo-headquartered Zisson was founded in 2008 and offers cloud-based switchboard services to enable better and easier end-customer communication for businesses. According to the company, it has doubled its revenues over the past three years.
Founded in 2005 and based in Oslo, Penetrace provides software that measures the effectiveness of both offline and online marketing campaigns.
