Antin picks up Sølvtrans from Oaktree
Antin Infrastructure Partners has acquired Sølvtrans, a Norway-based transportation provider for live salmon and trout, from Oaktree Capital Management.
Sølvtrans was previously owned by Oaktree, CEO Roger Halsebakk and chair Anders Hvide. Under the new agreement, Antin will own a majority stake in the business with Roger Halsebakk and Anders Hvide maintaining their current roles and reinvesting to remain substantial shareholders alongside Antin.
With the new funding, Sølvtrans plans on growing its role as a live fish operator in the market and is seeking to tap further growth potential.
Previous funding
Oaktree first invested in Sølvtrans in July 2014, investing in the company's growth through expansion deals such as new builds and acquisitions.
