Summa Equity acquires Lakers
Sweden-based private equity house Summa Equity has acquired Lakers, an Oslo-headquartered group offering maintenance services in the water and wastewater industry.
Lakers will be acquired via Summa Equity Fund I, which invests alongside the founders and a handful of minority shareholders active in the business. The founders and the management team will retain a significant stake in the company.
The GP's debut fund held a final close on its SEK 4.5bn hard-cap a year after the firm was founded, and since then has been making acquisitions in line with its ESG-guided thematic investment focus.
With Summa Equity as a new investor, the funding will support the company's growth and development.
