Verdane invests SEK 150m in Inovia
Verdane Capital Partners has invested SEK 150m in Inovia, a provider of big data and artificial intelligence services to corporate and government organisations in Sweden.
The investment is the first for Verdane's debut buyout vehicle, Verdane Edda, which held a final close earlier this year in March, hitting its hard-cap with SEK 3bn in commitments from investors. It seeks companies within software, consumer internet and more traditional sectors where digitalisation can be used for growth purposes. Verdane Edda targets individual investments reaching up to SEK 500m.
With Verdane's investment, Inovia plans to accelerate the development and commercialisation of its AI products and position the company for expansion to other Nordic countries.
Company
Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Kista, Stockholm, Inovia provides big data and AI services to companies and government organisations in Sweden, both on-premises and cloud-based. Inovia employs a staff of 50 and expects to report revenues of SEK 90m in 2018.
