Segulah snaps up Conapto
Segulah has acquired the Swedish business of IT production and recovery services company Sungard Availability Services.
The company has operated under the new corporate name Conapto since the deal was signed on 28 September.
Håkan Björklund joins Conapto as CEO. Prior to his new role, he spent around 11 years at Sungard Availability Services’ Swedish business, most recently as head of operations.
Conapto intends to develop its business to create a platform for clients and be a natural step in their migration to the cloud.
The deal is the seventh investment for Segulah V, which held a final close on SEK 2.4bn in April 2016.
Company
Conapto operates two data centres and one recovery site in the Stockholm area. The company traces its heritage back to 1982, when the first data centre was set up and operated under the name Backupcentralen. Since then, the business has developed from primarily offering disaster recovery services to focusing on colocation services, connectivity and cloud access.
