New bolt-on for Nordstjernan investee
Nordstjernan-backed Lideta has agreed to acquire the primary healthcare operations of Swedish private care provider Aleris.
Following the acquisition, the enlarged group will have a patient roster of around 250,000 people and will employ approximately 775 staff. Group sales will rise by around 40% to more than SEK 1bn.
The deal comes a year after Lideta first received backing from Nordstjernan. Lideta also owns the Mama Mia healthcare business, which was acquired shortly after Nordstjernan came on board as a reference backer.
The latest transaction means Lideta will become Sweden's third largest private operator in primary healthcare, according to a statement.
Completion of the deal is subject to approval from local competition authorities.
