
Sponsor Capital buys Herrmans
Finnish buyout firm Sponsor Capital has acquired a majority stake in Pietarsaari-based lights and bicycle components manufacturer.
All previous owners will continue as minority shareholders and the management team led by Tom Nordström will invest for a stake.
Elo Mutual Pension Insurance Company has also co-invested in the business.
The GP said it will support the future growth and development of the company.

Herrmans was founded in 2003 and is headquartered in Pietarsaari Finland. It has two business lines, Northern Lights, which develops and produces driving lights for heavy-duty vehicles, and Hermanns, which makes components (including lights) for bicycles. The company employs 270 people and generated €57m in sales for 2018.
