
Standout Capital backs VisBook
Stockholm-based private equity firm Standout Capital has acquired a majority stake in Norwegian property management specialist VisBook.
Unquote understands that Standout bought a 70% stake in the company while the founder and CEO Øystein Selbekk retained a 25% holding and co-founder Kåre Mjøen secured a 5% stake.
VisBook intends to use the fresh capital and the support of Standout to accelerate the company's growth, consolidate its market position in northen Europe and strengthen its product offering.
The GP drew capital from its Standout Capital I fund, which held a final close on SEK 1bn in August 2017. The vehicle invests equity tickets in the range of €5-15m in Nordic tech companies with high growth potential and revenues between €5-25m.
Company
Established in 1995 and based in Kvikne, VisBook offers a cloud-based property management, booking and administration platform for hotels, camping sites, and tourism and hospitality businesses. The company serves around 800 clients across six countries, employs 36 people and has a subsidiary based in Germany. Unquote understands that VisBook generated EBITDA of NOK 6.5m from revenues of NOK 40m in 2018.
