CapMan sells Kämp Hotels to Nordic Choice Hospitality Group
CapMan Buyout has sold KУЄmp Collection Hotels to trade player Nordic Choice Hospitality Group.
The transaction is the fifth exit from the 2013 CapMan Buyout X fund. Companies still in the portfolio include KotiSun and Forenom.
Nordic Choice Hospitality Group operates hotels in the Nordic region. It manages 195 hotels in six countries: Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and the Baltic countries. The chain employs 16,500 people and generates turnover of around €1bn.
Employees of Kämp Collection Hotels will continue in their current positions. The deal is awaiting approval from the competition authorities.
Previous funding
CapMan acquired a majority stake in Kämp Group from Berling Capital, which remained as a minority shareholder, in 2014.
Since then, turnover nearly tripled to reach €90m with the addition of new hotels to the portfolio, according to CapMan.
Company
Kämp Group includes the flagship Hotel Kämp, located in the Helsinki city centre. Established in 1887, Hotel Kämp is a five-star luxury hotel. 
Overall, the group manages 10 hotels in Finland with 1,406 rooms, as well as 17 restaurants & bars and two spas. The11th hotel, a tower hotel in Keilaniemenranta in Espoo, will open in 2023.
