
Korona Invest acquires Epic Driving School
Korona Invest Fund has acquired a majority stake in Finnish driving school Epic Driving School.
According to Finnish publication Talouselama, the company's founder, Kalle Lahervo, will continue to be the CEO and will also be involved as a minority shareholder.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
With the investment, the driving school chain aims to strengthen its expertise and expand internationally.
According to the local publication, the company grew at an average of 40% a year over the last four years and is now aiming to catch up with rival CAP Driving School, owned by Swedish private equity fund manager Verdane and thought to be the largest in the country with 87 driving schools.

Established in 2013 and based in Turku, Epic Driving School is a driving school chain that offers driving lessons at 74 locations in Finland. Nearly 10,000 customers receive a driving licence through the company each year. The company's net sales in 2019 stood at €8.8m, with EBITDA of €700,000. It employs around 100 people.
