
Vaaka Partners buys engineering firm A-Insinoorit
Finnish private equity firm Vaaka Partners has acquired a majority stake in engineering and consulting firm A-Insinoorit (Ains Group).
The GP is deploying equity from Vaaka Partners Buyout Fund III, which held a final close on its €225m hard-cap in March 2017 and typically invests €5-30m in Finnish SMEs, with a focus on funding international growth.
The GP said in a statement that it was drawn to Ains Group's desire to internationalise and its leadership culture.
The GP is aiming to double the company's turnover by 2025 and expand internationally, starting with the Nordic region.

Founded in 1959 and based in Espoo, Ains Group is an engineering and consulting firm working with estate owners, developers, builders, development companies, designers and housing companies in construction projects. It is currently involved in roughly 3,800 projects. It employs 800 staff and generated a turnover of €77m in 2019.
