Main Capital buys Sweden's Pointsharp
Software-focused private equity firm Main Capital has acquired a majority stake in Swedish company Pointsharp.
The GP said it will pursue a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions in the Nordic, Benelux and DACH regions to grow the company.
Main Capital is currently investing from its Main Capital VI fund, which in May this year held a final close on its hard-cap of €564m.
According to Unquote Data, the vehicle has so far been used for six platform investments and one add-on deal. Recent investments include Dutch AI-driven company Textkernel.

Founded in 2006 and based in Stockholm, Pointsharp is a software company providing services in the identity and access management market, including multifactor authentication, security gateway, user provisioning and password management.
The company has 220 global customers in the finance, governmental and industrial sectors. It counts Volvo, NCC, Audi, Skandia and Karolinska Institutet among its customers.
