Latour carves out workwear brands Fristads, Kansas, Leijona
Swedish private equity firm Latour has signed an agreement to carve out three workwear brands from Swedish workwear company Fristads Kansas: Fristads in Sweden;Т KansasТ in Denmark and Germany; and Finnish brand Leijona.
The GP is acquiring the companies through its fully owned portfolio company Hultafors Group and is part of Hultafors's strategy to grow and develop brands in the personal protection equipment (PPE) segment in Europe and North America.
The GP expects consolidated net sales to amount to €120m in 2020. The companies together have 600 employees.
The brands will continue to operate separately, and in the long term we see opportunities to further strengthen our value proposition through synergies, primarily in warehouse management and supply chains.
The deal is subject to regulatory approval.

Fristads is headquartered in Borås, Kansas Denmark is in Odense, Kansas Germany is in Norderstedt, while Leijona is based in Savonlinna.
