Procuritas buys and merges Medpro and Omtanken
Procuritas has acquired and merged Swedish primary care providers Medpro and Omtanken.
The GP is deploying equity from Procuritas VI, which held a final close on €318m in May 2017.
Monica Bergvall, head of origination at Procuritas, said in a statement that the GP had been in dialogue with the founders for several years.
Following the merger, the new group will become the third largest primary care provider in the Västra Götaland region with 14 clinics, around 100,000 listed patients and a turnover in excess of SEK 500m (€49m). Omntanken CEO Nick Johansson will become the CEO for the new group.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to complete in Q1 2021.

Medpro Clinic Group is a primary care provider in the Västra Götaland Region in Sweden. It has six primary care clinics, six rehab clinics, six vaccination centers, a dermatology clinic, a cardiology clinic and a drug rehabilitation clinic. The company has 250 employees.
Omtanken is a primary care provider in the Västra Götaland Region in Sweden. It operates eight clinics, five rehab clinics, a travel vaccination clinic, as well as occupational healthcare services. The company has around 230 employees.
