
Maj Invest acquires Ferm Living from Vendis Capital
Belgian private equity firm Vendis Capital will sell its majority stake in Danish interior design products company Ferm Living to Maj Invest.
The deal values the company at around DKK 500m (€67m) and Ferm founder Trine Andersen will retain 25% of the shares, according to Borsen.
The exit comes four years after Vendis Capital acquired the company in a management buyout.
Maj director Thomas Riis said the GP had followed the company for many years and had been impressed by its development. Through the deal, Maj will help the company with further international expansion.
Company
Founded in 2006 and based in Copenhagen, Ferm is a designer and retailer of interior design accessories and furniture. The company sells its products in more than 60 countries.
The company has around 60 staff and in 2019 generated revenues of DKK 48m with profit before tax of DKK 21.4m.
