
MB Funds to sell A-Katsastus to Finnish cooperative Tradeka
MB Funds has signed an agreement to sell A-Katsastus Group, a Finnish vehicle inspection business and driving licence provider, to Tradeka-Yhtiöt.
The buyer is a consumer cooperative involved in the restaurant business, as well as investment activities.
The exit comes a year and a half after the Finnish GP acquired the company from Bridgepoint, having also owned the company between 2003 and 2006.
The GP said in a statement that the company continued to perform strongly in 2020, despite the pandemic.
The company in 2019 generated revenues of €68m, down from €123.5m in 2018.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approval.

Founded in 2003 and based in Helsinki, A-Katsastus is a vehicle inspection company in Finland with approximately 150 stations. The group's subsidiary, Ajovarma, operates under a nationwide governmental contract with Traficom providing driver's exams and licence services across Finland from 100 service facilities.
The company in 2019 generated revenues of €68m. It employs around 800 staff.
