
EQT, Verdane to merge Confirmit and FocusVision
Private equity firms EQT and Verdane have announced the merger of their respective portfolio companies FocusVision and Confirmit.
The combined company will be led by Confirmit CEO Kyle Ferguson and supported by management of both companies.
Upon completion, the two GPs will have an equal stake in the merged business. The deal aims to give the research technology companies a stronger product offering in Europe and North America.
Confirmit was acquired by Verdane IX in February last year, while FocusVision was acquired by EQT in 2015.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is due to close in the second quarter of 2021.
