Marlin and Francisco to merge Unifaun and Consignor
Marlin Equity Partners-backed company Unifaun has announced its merger with Consignor, a portfolio company of Francisco Partners.
The GPs will be equal shareholders in the combined business and own a majority stake in the company.
The merger will create a global provider of cloud-based transport administration systems (TAS). The GPs will support both organic growth and acquisitions in a highly fragmented market.
Marlin in August last year acquired Unifaun from Vitruvian Partners. The company was reportedly marketed based on EBITDA of around €15m and was at that time valued at around €200m. At around the same time, Francisco Partners paid €140m for a majority stake in Consignor, with the CEO retaining a 30% stake.
