Monterro buys e-health software provider Bliksund
Nordic software investor Monterro has acquired a majority stake in Norwegian software-as-a-service (SaaS) company Bliksund, alongside the company's founders.
The partnership will enable Bliksund to accelerate product development, increase the product portfolio via add-on acquisitions in the digital platform, and expand internationally. Until recently, Bliksund was only available in Norway.
Monterro is currently deploying its third fund, which held a final close on SEK 2.5bn in January 2019.
The GP said in a statement that Bliksund's revenues more than tripled in 2020, compared to the previous year, in which, according to publicly available data, it was NOK 12m (€1.15m).
CEO Tor Laukvik said the company was looking to expand in Sweden, Denmark and the UK first, but also further abroad.
Company
Founded in 2010 and based in Grimstad, Bliksund is a SaaS company and a provider of digital transformation tools to the emergency services sector. It employs 28 staff.
