
Procuritas sells Sofa Company to trade
Nordic private equity firm Procuritas has sold its portfolio company Sofa Company to Danish sofa brand Lars Larsen Group.
The sale price was not disclosed. The deal implies a return of more than 6x for the GP, a source familiar with the deal told Unquote.
The exit comes five years after Procuritas acquired a majority stake in the company in 2017, when it was known as Sofakompagniet, from its founders Cathrine and Christian Rudolph, who retained a minority. According to Unquote Data, the deal was estimated to be worth €47m.
During this period, it said it worked closely with management to transform and grow the company, resulting in revenues doubling to DKK 545m (€73m).

Founded in 2008 and based in Ringsted, Sofa Company is a retailer of upholstery furniture. It sells products through its website in 10 countries, and in 40 countries through other retailers. It also has physical showrooms in Aarhus, Copenhagen, Odense and Ringsted.
The company in 2020 had revenues of €73m. It has around 250 employees.
