
Sentica buys Finnish workwear maker Dimex
Finnish private equity company Sentica has acquired workwear maker Dimex from its founding family.
The GP will become the majority owner of the company, while the current owners – the Krogerus family and Petteri Tirkkonen – will remain as significant minority owners.
Sentica is currently deploying its fifth buyout fund, which held a final close on its €185m hard-cap in April 2017. The vehicle targets small and medium-sized Finnish companies with revenues of €10-100m and typically provides equity tickets of around €7-20m.
Company
Founded in 1982 and based in Leppävirta, in the Northern Savonia region in Finland, Dimex makes heavy duty workwear. The company sells 400,000 garments annually, with its biggest export destinations being Germany, Russia and the Baltic countries. In 2020, it had sales of €15m.
