Priveq sells Scanmast to trade buyer for €24m
Swedish private equity firm Priveq has sold Scanmast, a supplier of mast and tower infrastructure, to trade buyer Volati at an estimated enterprise value of around SEK 245m (тЌ24m).
The purchase consideration for the shares is SEK 223m (€21.9m). As part of the acquisition, Scanmast CEO Ann-Charlotte Andersson has also acquired shares in the company.
The GP's exit comes eight years after its investment in the business via its fourth fund. During Priveq's ownership period, the GP said Scanmast strengthened its market position in Sweden and Norway, and established operations in Finland.
Following the transaction, Scanmast will become a new business unit in Volati's industrial business unit.
Company
Headquartered in Mora, Scanmast is a supplier of infrastructure, mainly in the form of masts and towers for telecoms, lighting and surveillance. It also builds pipeline bridges for the industrial and transportation sectors. Scanmast has 83 employees.
Net sales for the rolling 12 months to 31 March 2021 amounted to SEK 294m, with EBITDA of SEK 31m.
