Verdane acquires Silva and Nordic Vehicle from Karnell
Verdane has acquired two Swedish companies from Nordic private equity firm Karnell: Silva, a provider of niche outdoor sports equipment; and Nordic Vehicle, a converter of specialised professional and emergency vehicles.
The GP will acquire both from Karnell's K3 fund, and deploy equity from Verdane Capital X, which closed on SEK 6bn in February 2019.
Karnell's exit comes a decade after it invested in both Silva and Nordic Vehicle.
Verdane will help expand Silva's digital channels and support its product expansion into existing geographies. It will also collaborate with the company to further integrate sustainability into its customer value proposition.
The GP will seek to support Nordic Vehicle to further strengthen its leadership position in a highly fragmented market.

Founded in 1957 and based in Backaryd, Nordic Vehicle converts vehicles for specialised uses, primarily as police cars, ambulances and community transportation. The company has 75 employees.
