CapMan exits Solera Beverage Group to trade
CapMan Buyout has agreed to sell Solera Beverage Group to listed beverage company Royal Unibrew at an enterprise value of NOK 1.1bn (тЌ103.5m) on a debt-free basis.
The exit comes a decade after CapMan acquired a 76% stake in Solera via CapMan Buyout IX alongside co-investors and the management. The company, which imports and distributes wine and other beverages in the Nordic markets, comprises 700 brands and generated sales of NOK 1.9bn (€186m) in 2020.
Mergermarket reported in February that CapMan had mandated Lincoln International to assess exit options for Solera, and that the process was expected to start in March. The publication added that the company had a turnover of NOK 1.9bn (€184m) in 2020 and EBITDA of NOK 110m (€10.7m), compared to €130m in 2010.
The GP said in a statement that it helped the company develop both organically and through strategic add-on acquisitions.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in Q3 2021.
