Litorina-backed Semantix acquires Done Information
Litorina’s portfolio company Semantix has acquired Finnish-based translation service provider Done Information Oy for €2.5m.
The acquisition was financed internally by Semantix with no additional funding from Litorina. The deal follows the acquisition of Tamarind and INK Norge by Semantix in 2010.
Done Information Oy is based in Helsinki and is a provider of translation services. Founded in 1995 the company primarily has clients in the private sector. It also offers writing and DTP services. In 2010, the company's net sales were €3.6m.
The Semantix group, which was founded in 1969, has approximately 170 employees and a turnover of more than SEK 300m. With the acquisition of Done Information, Semantix has strengthened its position in professional language services in the Nordic countries.
Litorina acquired Semantix from Accent Equity in December 2009. Factors such as globalisation and the expansion of the EU to the east are expected to support growth of the company.
