Ratos in NOK 345m SB Seating dividend recap
Ratos has refinanced its portfolio company, SB Seating – an Oslo-based office furniture producer – to the tune of NOK 345m.
A total of NOK 385m will be paid to the owners of the company, whereby Ratos will receive a cash payment of close to SEK 400m.
Following the refinancing, Ratos's net invested capital in SB Seating will amount to circa SEK 44m. The refinancing will not affect Ratos Group's earnings.
Listed private equity firm Ratos invested SEK 747m in SB Seating in 2007 and refinanced the investment in December 2011. Ratos received SEK 303m in conjunction with the 2011 refinancing.
Strong cash flows, a solid balance sheet and favourable future prospects made a second refinancing possible, according to Ratos CEO Susanna Campbell. Ratos owns 85% of SB Seating and its consolidated book value at 30 September was SEK 1.1bn.
