Almi and Optimizer back Rêve
Swedenтs Almi Invest and Malta-based Optimizer Invest have acquired a stake in shopping app developer RУЊve.
The investment will be used to grow the company's operations and market its app, which has not yet launched.
Sweden will be the first country to have access to Rêve's product, though the newly formed developer plans to expand its offering to a global audience.
Founded in 2012, Malta-based Optimizer was established by the founders of betting companies Betsafe, Betit Group and Nordic Gaming Group. The VC takes 10-50% stakes in its investments, of which the majority are consumer-targeted online businesses.
Optimizer has invested in 15 companies in the past two years.
Company
Rêve is an iPhone app allowing users to scan barcodes on clothes in shops and look up information about the item, such as price and available sizes and colours.
Founded by Josep Nolla earlier this year, the app developer is based in Stockholm.
People
Optimizer partner Henrik Persson worked on the deal for the VC. Josep Nolla is the co-founder and CEO of Rêve.
