Polaris-backed STG acquires Dalaspår
Polaris Private Equity portfolio company Scandinavian Track Group (STG), a Swedish provider of railway construction and maintenance services, has acquired its competitor DalaspУЅr.
The acquisition will expand STG's offering by adding machinery services to its portfolio. Polaris estimates the transaction will increase STG's sales to SEK 250m.
Dalaspår is currently undergoing a generational change, which will see chief executive Lars-Olov Jonsson stepping down from operational activities. His son, Jonas Jonsson, will take over as subsidiary director and take a minority stake in STG.
Polaris backed the MBO of STG in September 2011.
