Altor fully exits Byggmax
Altor Equity Partners has fully exited Nordic discount DIY retailer Byggmax, selling its remaining 19.6% stake at SEK 53.50 per share.
Altor listed 42.7% of Byggmax on the Nasdaq OMX Stockholm in May 2010, with shares priced at between SEK 46-57 each.
Previous investment
Altor acquired a majority stake in Byggmax in January 2005, in a deal underwritten by DNB Nor.
Company
Established in 1993, Byggmax is a discount DIY retailer. Under Altor's stewardship, the company has grown its revenues from SEK 1.1bn in 2005 to SEK 3.2bn in 2013.
Altor supported the company's expansion into Norway and Finland, increasing its number of stores from 27 to 107.
