Odin Equity buys Scandinavian food distributors
Odin Equity has taken a majority stake in Danish food distributors SFK Food and W. OschУЄtzchen У rhus (SFK/OTZ).
SFK/OTZ has also acquired Norwegian trade player India-Nor at the same time. Financial details have not been disclosed.
The company was previously owned and managed by majority shareholders Kjeld Kronborg Danielsen and Casper Juul Sørensen. Trade player Danish Crown and Danish retail bank Sparekassen Kronjylland held a significant minority stake. The management team will continue in its current position and retain a minority shareholding.
Company
SFK/OTZ have been operated as a single company since 2006. It distributes meat, spices, marinades, and similar food products to the food industry, supermarkets, and butchers. The spice mixes and marinades are produced in-house.
W. Oschätzchen Århus, founded in 1919 and based in Stilling, Denmark, employs 45 staff. SFK Food, based in Viborg, Denmark, traces back to 1931 and has 75 employees. The aggregate turnover for the group is around DKK 350m.
