
LDC’s Ramco acquires Pipetech
LDC-backed Ramco Tubular Services has acquired a controlling stake in Pipetech International from Onshore Group North.
Following the deal, Ramco will support Pipetech's presence in the UK and will look to expand its activities in the offshore sector.
The deal was supported with additional debt provided by Clydesdale Bank.
Previous investment
LDC acquired Ramco in March 2013, in a deal that was understood to be worth more than £30m. The company was bought from Sir Fraser Morrison, who had previously backed Ramco's first management buyout in 2005.

Pipetech provides environmentally friendly, water-based cleaning services to North Sea oil, gas and petrochemical businesses in Norway and the UK.
Ramco, founded in 1977 and based in Aberdeen, provides storage management and cleaning services to oil and gas wells. The company has its main presence in Norway, but is also active in the UK, China, Japan and Romania.
