
ForgeRock in $30m series-C
ForgeRock, an identity relationship management solutions firm, has raised $30m in a series-C round led by Meritech Capital Partners.
Existing backers Accel Partners and Foundation Capital also participated in the round.
The company intends to use the fresh funding to accelerate product development and to boost its sales and marketing efforts.
As part of the deal, Paul Madera, co-founder and managing director of Meritech, will join the ForgeRock board of directors.
Previous funding
The company has raised $52m to date. Accel led a $7m funding round for ForgeRock in 2012. In April 2013, Foundation Capital and Accel committed a further $15m to the company in a series-B funding round.
Company
Founded in Norway in 2010, ForgeRock is an open platform provider of identity relationship management (IRM). Half a billion users engage the company's IRM across 30 countries and five continents. Sales grew by 305% from 2012 to 2013.
Key customers include Toyota, Thomson Reuters and Yellow Pages Canada. The company has recently established a strategic partnership with Salesforce.
ForgeRock is now headquartered in San Francisco.
