Sentica in Coptersafety MBO
Finnish GP Sentica has acquired a majority stake in Helsinki-based helicopter pilot training company Coptersafety.
While stakes were not disclosed, the GP said Coptersafety's CEO Mikko Dahlman will continue heading the company and retain a significant minority stake.
The buyout comes just four years after Dahlman founded Coptersafety, though the company did not begin fully operating until 2014.
Sentica is currently investing from its €130m 2012-vintage fund, Sentica IV, which was also used to acquire the majority stake in Coptersafety.
Company
Founded in 2011, Coptersafety is a provider of helicopter pilot training, based at the Finnish capital's Helsinki-Vantaa airport.
Its clients include around 40 non-Finnish helicopter operators. Coptersafety expects to generate sales of €5m in 2015, which will be its first full financial year.
