
Seriously raises third seed round
Finnish game developer Seriously has raised $5m from existing investors Sunstone Capital, Upfront Ventures and Daher Capital.
This latest injection brings the total raised by the company to $10m, ahead of a planned series-A round in 2015.
Seriously launched its first title, Best Fiend, for iOS earlier this year and will use the fresh capital to expand its team.
Previous funding
The game developer raised its first seed round in November 2013, where Sunstone Capital and Upfront Ventures injected $2.4m.
In May this year, Seriously raised a further $2.65m in seed funding from its two existing investors, as well as Daher Capital.
Company
Founded in in August 2013 by a team of breakaways from Angry Birds-developer Rovio, Seriously develops games for mobile devices.
Headquartered in Helsinki, and with a second office in Los Angeles, the business has 13 employees.
Seriously has published one title from its planned Best Fiends trilogy with a second game to be released in 2015.
