Moor and Balderton lead $3m series-A for Instabridge
Stockholm's Moor and London-based Balderton Capital have led a $3m series-A funding round for Swedish wifi sharing platform Instabridge.
The funding round also saw participation from the venture vehicle of Swiss mobile operator Swisscom, as well as Creandum – a Swedish VC and existing investor in Instabridge.
Instabridge will use its newly raised capital to fund continued growth in emerging markets, with a particular focus on Brazil, Mexico and India. The cash will also be spent on developing the company's product and expanding its team.
In October 2014, Creandum led a $1m seed round for Instabridge, alongside GP Bullhound and several business angels.
Company
Founded in late 2012, Instabridge develops a wifi manager app that allows users to share wireless internet hotspot information, giving them access to wifi hotspots shared by the community.
