CapMan acquires Design-Talo for €76m
CapMan has acquired an 80% stake in Pohjolan Design-Talo Oy from Ruuki Group for approximately €76m.
The company's management team hold the remaining 20% stake. Equity for the transaction was provided by the CapMan Buyout IX fund, which raised €203m at final close in June 2010. The investor also provided mezzanine through its CapMan Mezzanine V fund.
CapMan was attracted to the deal because the company's growth has outperformed the rest of the sector in general. The investor believes this growth is set to continue. Going forward, the focus will be to strengthen the company's position in the Finnish market.
