Sentica's Arjessa Group bolts on Jokilaakson Perhekodit
Sentica's portfolio company, child welfare service provider Arjessa Group, has acquired trade player Jokilaakson Perhekodit (JP) in a share-swap.
JP, which operates in the Ylivieska region of Finland, has become part of Arjessa Group, but will continue operations with current CEO Sirpa Ronkainen. Its previous owners have received shareholding in Arjessa Group.
Mika Uotila, managing partner and case responsible at Sentica, commented that its aim is to preserve the entrepreneurial spirit of Arjessa Group subsidiaries, whilst allowing these to benefit from being part of a larger group.
Company
Jokilaakson Perhekodit provides child welfare services for mixed-gender inpatients and outpatients aged 12-18. It traces back to 1985, but has been operated as a company since 2002.

Sentica took a 76.5% stake in the new entity, investing from Sentica Buyout III, which closed at €113m in 2009. The group's revenue amounted to €5.6m in 2010.
