Inventure funds Bitbar
Finnish VC Inventure has led a funding round for cloud-based mobile development and testing software producer Bitbar Technologies.
The round also saw existing investors Qualcomm Ventures, DFJ Esprit, Creathor Venture and Finnvera participate.
Bitbar will use the capital to fund expansion into larger market sectors and improve its position in the US market.
Previous funding
Finnvera was the first investor to fund Bitbar, providing a seed investment in early 2012.
The seed funding was followed by a $3m round lead by Creathor, with participation from DFJ Esprit, Qualcomm Ventures, Tekes and Finnvera.
Company
Helsinki-based Bitbar is the developer of Testdroid, a cloud-based Android development and testing platform.
Founded in 2009, the company has offices in San Francisco, Silicon Valley and Wroclaw.

Tuomas Kosonen is a partner at Inventure. Marko Kaasila is the CEO of Bitbar Technologies.
