
Nokia Growth Partners injects $6m into Mag Interactive
Nokia Growth Partners and an unnamed private investor have invested $6m in Swedish mobile game app Mag Interactive.
The fresh capital will be used for recruiting more staff to join the Stockholm-based start-up.
Mag Interactive was originally a studio-for-hire, building apps for external clients. Its first title, the word game Ruzzle, launched in March 2012. The app has been downloaded in excess of 45 million times to date.
Nokia Growth Partners is a Helsiniki-based venture capital firm focused on mobility, communications and the internet with offices in the US, Europe, India and China.
The firm's portfolio includes Finnish game start-up Grand Cru, language learning platform Babbel and Swedish video-on-demand service provider Voddler.
