Verdane et al. exit Compricer.se to Schibsted
Verdane Capital, founder Jacob Tolleryd and private investors have sold Swedish price comparison website Compricer.se to Schibsted Media Group.
Verdane acquired Compricer.se as part of a portfolio containing seven e-commerce companies via its Verdane Capital VII fund in June 2011.
During Verdane's two-year holding period, the company launched its Private Loan product, improved its sales process, doubled its turnover and increased profits five-fold.
Verdane deemed Schibsted to be a good strategic fit for the company, the GP stated.
Compricer will be joining Schibsted Tillväxtmedier and Schibsted's Swedish online sites network, which already owns Swedish online newspaper Aftonbladet.se and classifieds site Blocket.se. The deal is expected to increase Compricer's market reach.

Based in Stockholm, Compricer is a comparison service within the personal finance segment, covering 25 different categories. Focusing on insurance, electricity and unsecured loans, the company reported a turnover of close to SEK 70m in 2012, and has 120 employees.
