Consortium invests SEK 10m in Promimic
A consortium, consisting of ALMI Invest, Karolinska Development and several business angels among others, has injected SEK 10m in Gothenburg-based Promimic AB.
ALMI Invest provided the bulk of the funding from its ALMI Invest Västsverige Fund. The investors were attracted to the deal after a number of successful pre-clinical tests.
Funding will support a more aggressive expansion strategy, with increased international market presence.
Company
Promimic is based in Gothenburg and is a biomaterial company that develops and markets an implant surface which is said to accelerate osseointegration. The company's product, HANANO, is based on nanotechnology.
The company was founded in 2004.
