
EQT exits BTX Group to Sun European Partners
EQT has agreed to sell Danish apparel company BTX Group to Sun European Partners.
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions. EQT had wholly acquired BTX via its EQT IV fund in 2005.
Company
BTX is a wholesaler and retailer addressing various sub-segments of the mature women's apparel segment through five brands: Brandtex, Jensen Women, Signature, Imitz and Ciso.
During EQT IV's ownership period, BTX has seen a shift in its operations: being initially a traditional manufacturing and wholesale company, the company is today a clothing business focused on retail, including more than 120 outlets in wider shops. BTX additionally took steps to streamline its operations and create a more coherent portfolio of brands.
The company is operating on the Scandinavian market in particular. It had a turnover of DKK 2bn and profits of more than DKK 100m in 2011.
