
Conor Venture Partners et al. back Scoopshot
Conor Venture Partners has taken part in a $3.9m series-A funding round for Scoopshot, a global on-demand photography service.
Finnish Industry Investment and existing investors also participated in the round.
The fresh capital will be used to expand Scoopshot's US and UK sales teams. Scoopshot's recently secured clients include News Corp Australia, the California Newspaper Publishers Association and Hong Kong-based Next Media, the owner of Apple Daily.

Founded in 2010, Scoopshot is a crowdsourcing image provider, allowing brands and publishers to source custom photography on demand via an open platform that creates assignments for mobile photographers.
The app service for Android, iOS, and Windows Phone devices launched in July 2013. Customers include Gant, Greenpeace and Nokia.

Chris Barchak is a partner at Conor Venture Partners and will join Scoopshot's board as its new chairman following the investment. Jussi Hattula is a director at Finnish Industry Investment. Petri Rahja is the CEO and founder of Scoopshot.
