Creandum leads $1m round for Instabridge
Swedish VC Creandum has led a $1m seed round in Stockholm-based wifi app developer Instabridge alongside GP Bullhound and business angels.
Instabridge plans to launch its iPhone app soon and plans to use the fresh capital to speed up the development of its Android app.
The start-up has yet to generate revenue, but says it is seeing a majority of its app's beta-version users are from emerging markets such as Mexico, Brazil and India, as well as some European countries, Canada and the US.
Company
Founded in late 2012, the company develops a wifi manager app that allows users to share wireless internet hotspot information, giving them access to wifi hotspots shared by the community.
People
Creandum partner Johan Brenner worked on the deal alongside Instabridge co-founder and CEO Niklas Agevik.
